Virginia Hunter grew up in Tulsa Oklahoma and studied dancing and ballet from age 8 The family moved to Los Angeles in 1940 and Virginia was under contract to MGM from 19401945 She then moved over to Columbia Pictures working there until the late 1940s She had started modeling in the late 1940s and was offered a job by the I Magnin departmentstore chain in Pasadena Among her credits are four Durango Kid westerns with Charles Starrett at Columbia Pictures and a number of shorts with The Three Stooges also at Columbia
