He has written and directed the films All Songs Speak About Me 2010 for which he was nominated for the Goya for Best New Director The Illusions 2013 which received awards and recognition from critics and audiences after his tour of international festivals The romantic exiles 2015 Special Jury Prize at Malaga Festival among other awards and festivals La reconquista 2016 which participated in the Official Section of the San Sebastian Festival as well as in international festival numbers and for which he received the RNE 2016 Critical Eye Award At the end of that year Whos Stopping Us begins a project of cinematographic approach to different young adolescents that is shown in different pieces such as a film in progress His most recent film is The Virgin of August 2019 Fipresci Prize for International Critics and Special Jury Mention at the Karlovy Vary International Festival 2019
