Liao ChingSung Chinese 廖慶松 was born in 1950 He began his career as an editing technician at the Central Motion Picture Corp and has been responsible for the editing of many of the Taiwan New Wave works In particular he began work with Hou HsiaoHsien on military documentaries at the Central Motion Picture Corp and with the exception of A Time to Live and A Time to Die he has been responsible for the editing of all of Hous works Other major works include The Terrorist 1987 directed by Edward Yang and Dust of Angels 1992 directed by Hsu HsiaoMing He was awarded Special Contribution Award at the 55th Golden Horse Awards
