Douglas Doug Chapman is a Canadian stunt coordinator stunt performer actor and director Hes also a member of Stunts Canada He began both his acting and stunt work career in 1996 with the film Street Gun 1996 Since then he worked continuously throughout film and television series including Smallville 2001 Fantastic Four 2005 and Stargate Atlantis 2004 He has been a stunt double for Kurt Russell Dermot Mulroney Jason Statham Ryan Phillippe Robert Englund and Christian Slater He has also performed stunts for many commercials including precision driving for commercials for Honda and Chrysler Notable acting roles include Sergeant Cole in Stargate Atlantis and Roy Chess in Watchmen He has been involved with movies such as Freddy vs Jason 2003 X2 XMen United 2003 300 2006 and Watchmen 2009 among a countless heap of credits In the film Watchmen he performed the first ever bareskin burn stunt performance in a feature film He was nominated for a Taurus World Stunt Award for Best Fire Stunt in 2004 for stunts performed in the film Freddy vs Jason 2003 in which he doubled for actor Robert Englund and performed a full body burn and wire stunt In addition to acting and stunt performing Douglas has worked as a second unit director and stunt coordinator
