Alex Nibley grew up own Provo Utah with a fascination for the performing arts He left Utah for the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco where he studied acting directing and arts administration He eventually became a teacher in the Conservatory and an associate director Alex later went to Los Angeles where he studied film analysis and screenwriting with renowned cinema educator Franišek Frank Daniel He returned to Utah and began teaching Frank Daniels approach to filmmaking at UVU in 2002 Over the next two decades in what would become the Digital Media Department Alex created the Film Production Analysis curriculum the Writing For Digital Media major emphasis and the Writing for Entertainment Media Minor Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Utah in Film Radio Television and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the American Conservatory Theater In addition to his academic work he continues to work as an actor writer and director in various media He is known for Field of Honor 2016 Thorpe and H8RZ 2015
