Liya M Akhedzhakova born July 9 1938 Dnepropetrovsk Ukrainian SSR is a Russian theatre and cinema actress Honored Artist of the RSFSR 1970 and Peoples Artist of Russia 1994 She became famous for her roles in Eldar Ryazanovs films especially Office Romance 1977 Garage 1979 Irony of Fate 1975 and Promised Heaven 1991 She twice received the Nika Award for Best Supporting Actress for her roles as Aunt Fima in Promised Heaven and a Japanese restaurant worker in Portraying the Victim in 1992 and 2007 respectively
