Justin Peck born September 8 1987 is an American choreographer director and dancer associated with New York City Ballet of which he was appointed Resident Choreographer in July 2014 being the second person in the history of the institution to hold this title He made his Broadway debut working on the 2018 revival of Rodgers and Hammersteins Carousel earning the Tony Award for Best Choreography Peck choreographed the dance sequences for Steven Spielbergs adaptation of the musical West Side Story 2021 and Bradley Coopers biographical drama Maestro 2023
