Born in Teheran in 1979 Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi lives and works between France and Iran After graduating from Le Fresnoy he developed his own aesthetic playing with the codes of cinema and contemporary art He has made two fiction shorts Lower Heaven 2017 and Cavalière 2020 selected notably by the festivals of Toronto ClermontFerrand and the Festival Premiers Plans Chevalier noir his first feature was selected for the 2022 San Sebastián Festival in the New Directors section and won the Étoile dOr at the 2022 Marrakech Festival The screenplay was developed at the Ateliers dAngers in 2018
